Ancient Philosophy: Virtue Ethics

from £78.00

There are broadly 3 schools of moral philosophy; consequentialism (Mill), deontology (Kant) and virtue ethics (Aristotle). The first 2 get more air time as they are 'action guiding' theories (can be applied in a situation to work out what to do) in a way that virtue ethics is not. However, virtue ethics is often more appealing to students as it fits into common sense morality, and is centred on some easy-to-grasp principles. This masterclass focuses on Aristotle, giving you an excellent foundation in Ancient Philosophy.

  • Duration: Suggested 1-2 hours, dependent on the level of detail desired.
