Introducing Minds Underground™’s Young Minds STEM Online Summer School for students aged 10-14, designed to nurture our aspiring scientific minds across a range of disciplines: Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, Medicine, Psychology, even Astronomy!
The STEM School focuses on exploration and discovery, inspiring students by giving them exposure to scientific breakthroughs of our time and encouraging them to adopt a scientist’s mode of logical and critical thinking. Students will code Battleships in Python, explore genetic engineering in the production of goats that produce spider silk in their milk, analyse dinosaur fossils to work out family trees and use maths to inch one step closer in our unravelling the mystery of the universe, amongst a range of other exciting classes.
Our hosts include a published Biomedical Sciences researcher, a specialist in Quantum Physics, Relativity Theory and Mathematics, a climate researcher at Cambridge University’s Centre of Atmospheric Science and the inspiring Founder of Young Wilders and Foodsteps, two companies leading the environmental revolution by harnessing science and technology as a force for good.
Logistics
Weekly classes, 4-5pm on Wednesdays
June to August, Wednesday 3rd June to Wednesday 26th August inclusive
Students will be split into classes based on age
Full schedule released prior to Summer School start date
